Former WCW Champion Goldberg recently discussed his 90-second squash match against Brock Lesnar back in 2016 at Survivor Series.
Speaking on Chris Jericho’s Talk is Jericho podcast, the former WWE Universal Champion revealed who came up with the idea of doing the squash match.
“Brock needed an adversary, he needed a worthy adversary,” the World Championship Wrestling legend would begin on the podcast.
“Brock Lesnar is an absolute mastermind, I mean he really is ’¦ It was an honour for me to still be looked upon as somebody who was a worthy competitor” Goldberg added.
“A worthy challenge for him. Brock is the one who came up with the 90-second deal” the former WWE Superstar revealed.

I’ve heard stories in the past of Lesnar being a creative genius, and this was a complete shock when it took place at Survivor Series.
I’m still not sure if ‘Berg will be making his return to the company at some point, as he did look alarmingly old in his past appearance.
If he does, then it’ll surely be another major match potentially at the next Saudi Arabia event for the Universal or WWE Championship?
