A massive match is being rumored for WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER at WrestleMania 39 in April 2023.
According to a new report/rumor from Boozer, GUNTHER is currently on tap to face Brock Lesnar at the event with the IC belt on the line:
“Brock vs Bobby at EC is their last match in feud. Should be Brock v Gunther Mania if all goes well to plans” the account claimed on Twitter.

It’s worth noting that this rumor from Boozer is just that, a rumor, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.
Bray Wyatt made a claim during SmackDown this week, indicating that he will be going after the winner of the Lashley vs Lesnar match at Elimination Chamber.
Even if Lesnar beats Lashley, having Lesnar vs GUNTHER at WrestleMania 39 for the IC title would undoubtedly be a big-time match for the Austrian Superstar and a massive spectacle for fans in what could be a genuine show stealer.
The two men went face to face in the Royal Rumble and the crowd reaction was huge, so WWE are obviously aware that this is something that the fans want to see.
