The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair recently sustained an injury on this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW. She was brutally assaulted by the reigning WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Belair competed in a match against Doudrop at the show and following the match, ‘Big Time Becks’ laid Belair with the attack. Lynch then put a steel chair around the EST’s neck and slammed her against the ring post.
WWE says Bianca Belair will be out of action indefinitely
WWE has now confirmed that Belair sustained a fractured hyoid bone in her throat. The official statement stated that she will not need to undergo surgery but will be out of action for an unspecified amount of time.
The report states:
“Bianca Belair suffered a fractured hyoid bone in her throat as a result of the attack perpetrated by Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch last Monday on Raw. Although Belair will not need surgery, she will be out of action for an unspecified amount of time as she recovers.”
‘The EST of WWE’ had been planned to challenge Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38. But that remains up in the air as of now. We will see if Belair manages to make a comeback. WrestleMania 38Â will take place on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 from AT&T Stadium in Arlington,Texas.
