AJ Styles ‘injury update’ following WWE RAW from Edge

WWE RAW Superstar AJ Styles was viciously attacked by Hall of Famer Edge on last week’s episode of the show, and now WWE has issued an update on his status.

The company revealed on Twitter that the Phenomenal One had suffered from a “severe neck contusion” after taking the Conchairto from the Rated R Superstar.

This is of course all part of the storyline as we head towards WrestleMania 38 on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd April 2022.

AJ Styles vs Edge – WrestleMania 38

Edge vs AJ Styles is arguably one of the more anticipated bouts on the two-night card, and hopefully, WWE will give both men the time to truly create an in-ring classic at the Showcase of the Immortals.

Having the extra wrinkle to the story of Edge finally embracing his heel side once again is interesting. Edge has been a full-blown babyface since his return in 2020.

Edge being a face made sense, as he had been assumed retired from the ring for the rest of his life. Now changing his persona adds an extra layer of storyline to this already anticipated bout.

Hopefully AJ will be able to be at 100% ahead of the ‘Mania match, so that we can see these two put on the type of bout that we all know they’re capable of producing.
