Brock Lesnar will be taking a break from WWE after SummerSlam, but not for long.

The Beast Incarnate is known to do things his own way whether it’s the world of MMA or pro wrestling. While he has a pretty lucrative arrangement with WWE, you never really know when the former Universal Champion may decide to end his run and retire from the public eye. Lesnar himself has considered the option a number of times and he has had to be pursued to return to the ring.

His latest actions at SummerSlam 2023 once again got people guessing about his future. Brock put over Cody Rhodes in a hard-fought match at the PLE and showed him respect after the bout was over. One thing that people took note of was that Lesnar removed his gloves after the bout.

Brock Lesnar is taking a break

Many people thought that this was the former MMA star’s way of signalling his retirement but this doesn’t appear to be the case. Dave Meltzer when asked about Brock Lesnar on Wrestling Observer Radio (H/t WrestlingNews.co), said that the wrestling star will take a break but not for long:

“Oh No. He’s advertised for Fastlane. So I don’t know if that’s when he returns. He’s not gonna be gone for a little while, is what I was told, but not a long while. Whatever that means.”

The Fastlane 2023 PLE is set to take place on October 7th from Gainbridge Fieldhouse Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana. Lesnar is also locally advertised for the Payback PPV on September 2 but the plans for his return have not been confirmed.
