Former WWE Superstar Sasha Banks debuted for New Japan Pro Wrestling this week, but will Naomi be going the same route?
Banks appeared at Wrestle Kingdom 17 under her new moniker Mercedes Mone, and confirmed that she had joined New Japan and Stardom.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez talked about Bayley and Naomi both going to Japan to support Mone in her debut, but he doesn’t think that Naomi will be heading to the promotion.
Will Naomi return to WWE?
“They’re not going to New Japan, Naomi, and Bayley. Of course, there is no official information on Naomi, but my impression is she will be returning to WWE” Alvarez began.
“Actually, you can report that my belief is that she will be returning to WWE because she will certainly be returning to WWE. I will just say that. Other than that, I don’t know what is going on” he concluded.
There is a good chance that the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion could make her return during the 30-Woman Royal Rumble match at the end of the month, at least that would be a good place for her re-debut.
The SmackDown Superstar has been off of WWE programming for some time, after her and Sasha Banks walked out of the company whilst Vince McMahon was still Chairman.
It was believed that Banks and Naomi would return, but that is not the case for Banks and it right now it hasn’t been the case for her tag team partner.
