Rhea Ripley expected to be getting major WrestleMania 39 match

Last updated

WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley is expected to be getting a major WrestleMania 39 match when the company heads to Hollywood in April 2023.

From what we have heard from sources, Ripley is currently pencilled in to be facing Becky Lynch at the two-night show in 2023.

Right now, it appears as though Ripley vs Lynch will be contested for the RAW Women’s Championship, with Becky taking the belt off of Bianca Belair before April.

It’s worth noting that these are the current pencilled in plans for the event, and as is always the case, anything can change in WWE on a day-to-day basis.

Wrestlingnewsco reported yesterday that Ripley would end up facing Ronda Rousey with the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line.

This appears to no longer be the case, as Ronda lost her title to Charlotte Flair on the final SmackDown show of 2022.

What we do know is that the company have been sending out ‘fake’ leaks over the past few months to try and keep the internet talking, and this might be another case of that.

We will hopefully be able to confirm more regarding this story in the coming days, but the Road to WrestleMania in 2023 looks set to be an intriguing one!
