Kurt Angle doesn’t believe Edge will be debuting for AEW.

The Rated R Superstar’s WWE future has been in question since he revealed that his contract with the company was coming to an end. Edge competed in the last match of his deal during the August 18 episode of SmackDown and he has officially become a free agent on October 1.

Many have believed that he may be going to AEW to reunite with his friend Christian Cage for his last run. This speculation has picked up steam since it was confirmed that the match between Darby Allin and Christian will be maineventing the upcoming WrestleDream PPV.

Kurt Angle doesn’t think Edge is going to AEW

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, however, doesn’t seem to be buying into this hype. On the latest episode of his podcast (H/t Fightful), the wrestling veteran explained that Edge has been loyal to WWE and he is gonna end his career there:

“I think Edge is loyal to WWE. He’s been loyal since day one. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of other wrestlers have crossed over, especially his best friend and kind of brother, Christian, but I just don’t see Edge doing that. I really believe he’s going to be WWE for life,”

AEW WrestleDream will be taking place from the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington this Sunday, on October 1.
