WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar lost to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38, but what is his status for the upcoming WrestleMania Backlash event?
Dave Meltzer confirmed the following in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter: “The next PPV will be WrestleMania Backlash on 5/8. Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey are both scheduled for that show.”
It’s pretty big for WWE that they are able to get both former UFC Champions on the next card following WrestleMania 38. Both are proven draws and they should help WWE keep up the momentum following a well-received WrestleMania.
Brock Lesnar WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022
We do not currently know what Brock’s match will be at the Backlash event itself. There is a good chance that we won’t see The Beast Incarnate back in the ring with Roman Reigns following their WrestleMania 38 main event.
Meltzer also revealed that WWE internally believes that the Reigns vs Lesnar feud has run its course, so he’ll get a new opponent next month.
Hopefully, we will find out who WWE plans on putting Brock in the ring with for Backlash in the next few weeks.
