WWE Superstars Bray Wyatt and Brock Lesnar both made their returns to the company this week, but only one is going to be on RAW.
After discussing with one of our sources, it appears as though USA Network were under the impression that they would be getting Bray Wyatt going forward.
It was recently revealed by Andrew Zarian that Lesnar returning to the company on Monday Night was a ‘make good’ for Bray not being there.
‘USA network and WWE are both very happy with the direction of Raw. Lesnar returning on the show felt like a ‘make good’ to many at USA for not having Bray on Raw following the buzz from Extreme Rules,’ he tweeted.
Bray Wyatt WWE SmackDown
As confirmed by several outlets, including PWInsider, Wyatt is now essentially a lock to be part of the SmackDown roster.
From what we have been told though, it looks as if USA Network where under the impression that the returning ‘Eater of Worlds’ was going to be a red brand act going forward.
We can’t get definitive confirmation on this right now, but it is certainly an interesting wrinkle to the ongoing story.
Lesnar being brought in as a ‘make good’ might be more than just a one-off, with Zarian’s original report seeming like it was just to appease USA Network for that night.
We may well be seeing Wyatt appear on both brands, but that remains to be seen.
